All migraines are headaches but not all headaches are migraine. Headaches are caused by a variety of factors such as low blood pressure, high blood pressure, sinus congestion, tight jaw, neck tension, stress, eye problems, constipation, insomnia and food intolerances. It is therefore important to identify the cause and then treat it. Migraines are cyclical, often connected to the menstrual cycles in women. It is accompanied by light or sound sensitivity, nausea and sickness. It is usually cured on its own in 2-3 days but medication helps to ease the symptoms. Diet, neck and skull massage, acupuncture, osteopathy and natural supplements all help to cure it.
