Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) Management

Chronic Fatigue is, of course the main symptom of the Syndrome. The other symptoms that constitute CFS are headache, dizziness, insomnia (involving jet lag-type sleep, where one feels tired during the day and wide awake at night), short-term memory loss, lack of concentration, body ache and a weak immune system. About 20% of cases are due to Epstein Barr viral infection (ME) and these need to be treated with vitamins and minerals in addition to the standard treatment (diet, massage and yoga). Dr Ali’s neck treatment helps to improve blood supply to the brain, which in turn helps to eliminate all the symptoms of CFS.

For more information on this subject please consult Dr Ali’s book The Neck Connection, which is available on our website or any good book stockist.

Dr Uzma and Dr Ali offer these treatments at the IMC.

Occasionally, Dr Ali organises health trips to the Indian Himalayas. Hundreds of CFS patients have benefited from the treatment, which includes massage, walking, yoga, and meditation. The altitude of 5,000-7,000 ft (1,500-2,000 m) helps to improve stamina and energy. It is for this reason that sportsmen and army personnel often train at higher altitudes. The guests stay either at Dr Ali’s Charity Clinic or in a beautiful hotel in Kangra Valley. The views are breathtaking and the walks are designed to help patients to gradually get their energy back.
